Too Much And Not Enough, Vol. 1 – Out Now!

“This EP isn’t just music; it’s connection, validation, and advocacy wrapped in melody.” (x)

My proudest achievement of 2025 was releasing new music: two singles and an EP! Having not released a project since my Honest EP in 2020 (although I later released the acoustic version in 2021), I’ve been so desperate to release more music but health stuff got in the way and it took a long time to get back to a place where I was even close to capable of managing the stress of putting out a new project (and stressful it was). Given everything that happened between late June and December, I didn’t have the headspace, the physical ability, the time, or any combination of the three to write about it properly. But I didn’t want to skip it because it is so important to me and to the last year so – finally – here is the post about my recent EP, Too Much And Not Enough, Vol. 1. This is – hopefully – the first in a series about my experiences of being autistic, inspired by how lonely and isolating it was to grow up, never seeing or hearing my life represented in books, film, TV, music, and so on. It’s taken a long time to feel ready to take on a project like this but now that I am, I know without a doubt that this is the art that I’m meant to be making.

“What makes Too Much And Not Enough, Vol. 1 powerful is its dual role as personal diary and shared lifeline. Hooper writes for her younger self, for others navigating similar realities, and for those who may be hearing these experiences articulated for the first time. The result is a project that doesn’t just speak – it listens back, offering connection in a world that often overlooks the voices that need to be heard most.” (x)

House on Fire (Lyric Video) – Out Now!

And the lyric video for ‘House on Fire‘ is out and available to watch on YouTube!

My best friend and frequent creative partner, Richard Marc when he’s making music and Richard Sanderson Photography when he’s working visually – photography, videography, and so on – made this video and it’s cooler than I could’ve ever imagined. I love the simplicity of it, the movement of the flame, and the way the lyrics burn like the dying embers of a fire. I love it and I think he’s done a fantastic job.

I’m gonna put together a behind-the-scenes of filming all of the visuals for this song because it’s been a weird, fun process, with some strange shenanigans that I never would’ve experienced had I not been making stuff for this song. But then I really should’ve known what I was in for when I decided to release a song called ‘House on Fire.’

BEHIND THE SONG: House on Fire

Today I posted a new video on Youtube, talking about the inspiration and process behind the writing of my newest single, ‘House on Fire.’ I posted it on all of my social media accounts but I also wanted to post it here because I put so much of myself into this song. Both my initial inspiration for the song and the interpretation that has evolved over time mean so much to me and it means a lot to me to share it all in more detail. I just felt like you guys might connect with these stories, as well as the song.

If you haven’t listened to the song yet, you can find it here and I’ll be releasing more stuff soon. I hope you like the song, I hope it makes you feel something, and I hope it’s been interesting to hear the story behind the writing of the song, some of the behind the scenes of the creative process.

As always, thank you for listening to my songs, watching my videos, and reading my posts. It means more than I can say.

EDIT: You can now watch the behind the scenes of making this video, where I rambled, tripped over my own tongue, and accidentally advertised Red Bull! Enjoy! (x)
